Job Summary

NEED PAINTER PER DIEM FOR 3RD SHIFT - SURGICAL UNIT

SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL PAY!

Under general supervision and according to established procedures, performs necessary painting and refinishing of interior and exterior building surfaces and furnishings. This includes smoothing surfaces, filling holes and cracks, and applying coats of paint, varnish, stains, wall coverings, and similar materials using equipment such as brushes, rollers, and scrapers.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years related experience preferred, with competence in repairing walls, matching paint colors, and wallpaper installation/repair.
• Experience of 5 years related experience preferred.

Education

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge of building codes, blueprint reading, and use of tools and materials; ability to estimate time and materials needed.
• Trade school graduate preferred.

Special Skills

• Ability to apply even coats of paint, varnish, etc., neatly and efficiently using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Skill in mixing plaster and retardants, and applying plaster evenly to various surfaces.
• Physical ability to lift heavy cans of paint and perform manual tasks involving manual effort, including walking, standing, climbing ladders and scaffolds.

Licensure and Certifications

Valid driver’s license required.
