Job summary

Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Worker to perform routine painting and building upkeep at our facilities in the Greater Bridgeport area. Responsibilities include surface prep, patching, caulking, and basic plumbing/electrical tasks as needed.

This role supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and staff. The incumbent will work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, handle ladders and power tools, and assist custodial staff as

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years painting or related experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Ability to function independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and scheduled patching and painting across agency sites.
  • Prepare surfaces (scraping, sanding, priming, sealing) before painting.
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or fillers.

Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity and respect.HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pmSUMMARYIn accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Department Director keeps RNP program sites in a clean, orderly, safe and comfortable condition by performing the following duties.Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pmCORE FUNCTIONSPerforms routine and scheduled patching and painting throughout the agency.Prepare surfaces prior to painting including scraping, sanding, priming or sealing surfaces.Fill cracks, holes and joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other fillers.Calculate amounts of required materials and estimates cost.Remove fixtures such as pictures, doorknobs, lamps switch plates prior to painting.Remove paint splatters, clean equipment and clean area painted to complete job.Maintains buildings, performing minor and routine plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.Plows snow, cleans debris and snow from sidewalk, mows lawn, and trims shrubbery.Assists custodial crew as required.Assists driver as necessary.Respond to alarm calls and emergencies.Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.CORE COMPETENCIESHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).
