Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Junior Painter in Norfolk, VA. Perform interior and exterior painting, stain, and refinishing work along with color matching and surface preparation.

• Removes old finish using scrapers or chemicals.
• May fill nail holes, joints and cracks in walls with plaster or filler.
• May replace door or window glass.
• Requisitions painting supplies and equipment.
• Participates in special projects as required.

• Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment.
• Participates in special projects, as required.

Education

Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

Experience

1-3 years of related painting experience.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $23.30 - $28.75. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
