Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an AIT Lead for waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization, working directly in shipyards and drydocks onboard U.S. Naval ships.

The incumbent will lead technical and administrative tasks, coordinate deliverables, attend customer meetings, and liaise with vendors and government staff while ensuring quality of all project outputs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Secret clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
• Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
• May perform high-level technical services on assigned task(s).
• Conducts planning and provides recommendations to customer on task workload.
• Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary customer liaison.
• Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other Government staff on behalf of the customer.
• Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
• Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
• Participates in special projects, as required.

Job Description

AIT Lead This is not an office position, it is a waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization position, working directly in shipyards and drydocks onboard U.S. Naval ships. The incumbent will be exposed to varying temperatures of heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks:

• Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s), including contract and subcontractor management.
• Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
• May perform high-level technical services on assigned task(s).
• Conducts planning and provides recommendations to customer on task workload.
• Attends customer meetings and may serve as primary customer liaison.
• Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other Government staff on behalf of the customer.
• Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
• Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
• Participates in special projects, as required.

Education HS Diploma/GED Experience 8 years of related experience US Citizenship Required Some positions on this contract require a Secret security clearance. GDIT will sponsor qualified candidates who do not currently hold a clearance, subject to the requirements of the position and the applicable clearance process.

The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500.
