Job summary

Met-Con, Inc. is seeking a Painter/Load to prepare and paint structural steel and assist with loading and unloading steel from trucks in our fabrication shop.

Responsibilities include painting with sprayers, operating a forklift, and performing rigging as required, plus supporting daily shop operations.

Candidates should have painting experience, know how to use a crane, and be able to work overtime and stand up to long shifts in hot or cold environments.

Job description

SUMMARY

The Painter/Load is mainly responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel from trucks as required.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prep and paint structural steel
• Operate forklift as needed
• Perform rigging work to move materials as requires
• Load and unload steel from trucks
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint
• Must have experience with overhead crane
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
• Works in compliance with Kinsley\'s safety policies and procedures
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
