Job summary

Commercial Painting Contractors is hiring a Journeyman or Apprentice Painter for commercial and residential projects in Idaho and Oregon. The role offers year‑round employment with a benefits package and paid training, with pay ranging from $18 to $28 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, applying paints and coatings, reading plans, maintaining a clean site, and following safety policies. A reliable vehicle and OSHA familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but training is available.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans and project specifications.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work daily.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working at heights and on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming.
• Apply paints, stains, sealers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and work areas from paint and overspray.
• Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and customers.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
