Job summary

Acts Construction is hiring a Painter/Journeyman in Delaware to perform surface preparation, select materials, and apply primer and paint to interior and exterior surfaces. The role involves assisting with material orders, estimating paint needs, and coordinating with other phases of work.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of painting experience, construction/maintenance background preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation and apply coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to interior and exterior surfaces.

• Assist with ordering paint materials, estimating paint quantity needed, and coordinating schedules with other phases of work.
• Maintain inventory of supplies including brushes, tarps, and chemicals.

Acts Construction is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Painter / Journeyman position.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex surface preparation, selecting appropriate paint materials, and using various application techniques to achieve a high-quality finish. Removes old finishes and preps surface for interior and/or exterior painting. Applies coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment. Assists with ordering paint materials, estimating amount of paint needed, and coordinating schedule with other phases of work. Maintains inventory of supplies, including paint brushes, tarps, chemicals, etc.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of painting experience
• Construction or maintenance related experience is preferred
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Pay Range

$24.21 - $30.76 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
