Qualifications

• Education: High School, GED, Trade School completion preferred.
• Experience: 5 Years painting and wallpaper installation.
• Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: None required.
• Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: General hand tools, paint brushes, rollers, spray guns, ladder, sander, drop cloth and blowtorch
• Specialized Skills: Able to follow written and verbal directions. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical Requirements: Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climbs ladders; bends and kneels as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare paint to match colors by blending pigments and drying substances.
• Apply coats of paint, varnish, stains, or lacquer to decorate and protect surfaces.
• Draw and paint artwork on materials like glass, canvas, wood, and plastics; create effects with various tools.
• Smooth surfaces with sandpaper and remove old paint to prep surfaces.
• Estimate time and materials for jobs and work unsupervised to complete tasks on schedule.
• Hang and finish sheetrock as required.
