Job summary

Generac Power Systems in Oshkosh is seeking a Painter I for the 1st shift to load, hang, and finish parts via powder coat painting. The role requires following safety practices, PPE use, and maintaining a clean work environment in a high-heat setting.

Pay is $22.85/hour with a Tuesday–Friday schedule, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent and 0–2 years of experience, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paintline
  • Process each part by hanging/racking to paintapplication
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
  • Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy
  • Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
  • Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
  • Maintain proper counts
  • Report all scrap
  • Perform stock handling duties as required
  • Maintain a clean work environment

Painter I – 1st Shift

Pay: $22.85/hour

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday
Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Painter – The Paint Hanger is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paintestablishedprocedures, processes, or policies. Paint Hangers safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line.The PaintHangers are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result beinga readyto use part or assembly.

Major Responsibilities
  • Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paintline
  • Process each part by hanging/racking to paintapplication
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
  • Perform work duties in a safe manner andin accordance withpolicy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performingappropriate housekeepingduties)
  • Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment
  • Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process
  • Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off
  • Maintain propercounts
  • Report allscrap
  • Perform stock handling duties asrequired
  • Maintain a clean work environment
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Detail oriented andorganized

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Previousexperience with powder paint systems
Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
