Job summary

Shine of Tysons is looking for team members in Hicksville, NY to assist with various painting and site tasks. This role includes loading vehicles, site protection, cleaning jobsites, and installing holiday lighting. Ideal candidates have experience in painting and are able to work on ladders.

Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour with provided vehicles and training. A willingness for a drug test and background check is also required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform a drug test and background examination.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States and provide documentation.
• Minimum two years of painting experience.

• Help load vehicles with proper equipment and map out daily job routes.
• Assist painters on site or in the shop with load in and out.
• Clean jobsites and equipment.
• Install/Take down Holiday Lighting during the season.

Position Overview

Learn a trade while working with the team to get the job done! The role involves

• Arrive by 8:00 am or earlier if necessary.
• Help load vehicles with proper equipment and map out daily job routes.
• Assist painters on site or in the shop with load in and out, site protection, prep and door installation.
• Clean jobsites, shop, and equipment.
• End of day vehicle clean-up, inventory, and ordering.
• Install/Take down Holiday Lighting during the season.

Minimum Qualifications

• Willingness to perform a drug test and background examination.
• Ability to write and speak English reasonably well.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States and provide documentation.
• Ability to work on ladders – no fear of heights.
• Must have a smartphone.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Minimum two years of painting experience.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Prior experience in the construction industry.
• Understanding of painting terminology.
• Experience with airless spray.
• Experience with skim coating.
• Experience spraying cabinet work or other high‑end work.

Compensation

$20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
