The Entwistle Company is seeking a skilled Painter B to build a long-term career in our collaborative and innovative environment. You will apply primers and paints to mechanical parts, prepare surfaces, and ensure paint adhesion and conformity to specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and specifications.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to stand, climb, and perform in a physically demanding setting.

Responsibilities

• Apply primers and paints to mechanical parts using spray guns and hand tools.
• Prepare parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed.
• Mix paints and additives in specified ratios.
• Inspect finished parts for uniformity and conformance to specifications; touch up as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply primers and paints to mechanical parts using paint spray guns and a variety of hand tools.
• Prepare parts for painting by cleaning, sanding, or other appropriate means to ensure paint adhesion. Mask areas as needed.
• Mix paints and additives or thinners in specified ratios.
• Inspect product for uniformity, ensure painted parts conform to all specifications and requirements. Touch up paint as needed.
• Ensure paint and additives are in‑date and that all measurement tools are calibrated.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and/or hand tools to hang and manipulate heavy parts.
• Maintain paint booth, conveyor system, and spray equipment, replace filters as needed. Break down, clean, and reassemble paint guns.
• Maintain daily records and logbooks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Contribute to a culture of safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Good work ethic with the ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere
• Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and specifications
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to climb, squat, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
