Diamondback Firearms, LLC in Florida is seeking a Painter Assistant responsible for all aspects of paint preparation from start to finish and for assisting in other departments as needed. The role supports finishing operations on firearms components and requires meticulous prep work.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of prep, sanding, wet sanding, and buffing experience. The position is a first shift with standard hours and overtime as needed; background and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with prep, sanding, wet sanding and buffing is required.
• Familiarity with painting prep on varied surfaces preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• 1 year of experience with prep, sanding, wet sanding, and buffing is required

Preferred Skills

• 1 year of experience painting a variety of surfaces to include aluminum, fiberglass, smooth and rough surfaces is preferred
• Reliable, detail orientated, and self-motivated
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work orders
• Ability to work within aggressive schedules and deadlines
• Forklift certification is preferred

CORE DUTIES

• Clean surfaces prior to layering paint
• Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order

• Assist in other departments as needed

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
