Painter and Autobody Technician – Kimble Companies

This position involves paint and auto‑body repairs on commercial trucks, industrial compactors, and containers. Work may include both first and second shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Some mechanical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, or education.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Knowledge of paint products and paint application in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of paint mixing.
- Auto‑body repair skills.
- Basic to intermediate welding skills.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including but not limited to standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Have an understanding of painting equipment and safety procedures involved in operating equipment.
- Must have paint product knowledge.
- Ability to mix paint correctly.
- Perform sanding and finishing duties.
- Adhere company stickers to containers after painting.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test annually.
- Maintain a record of all work completed and submit to supervisor.
- Must be able to keep up with all production requirements.
