Work Performed:

1. Applies dope, lacquer, paint, and other finishing materials to aircraft, equipment, and facilities.
2. Prepares surfaces for painting by removing foreign substances and old or chipped paint.
3. Masks surfaces not to be painted.
4. Applies primers and fillers, and rubs intermediate coats for smooth, uniform finishes.
5. Matches colors for spot or repair jobs; prepares and mixes paints as needed.
6. Polishes final coats with wax or polishing compounds.
7. Performs rework as required and does lettering with stencils.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• Paints, primers, lacquers, enamels, varnishes, and thinners.
• Spray guns, pressure pots, air hoses, rollers, and brushes.
• Templates, trammel points, rules, measuring tapes, stencil cutting machines, etc.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Minimum of three years experience as an Aircraft Painter.
