Job summary

Gemini, Inc. in Cannon Falls, MN is seeking a 3rd Shift Painter to join our team. The role focuses on learning the finishing and painting process while supporting shipping activities and maintaining quality standards.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a night shift from 11:00pm to 7:30am, Monday through Friday. Compensation is hourly and includes a shift premium and benefits; there is potential for growth within a positive, people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of paint products and notify when reorder is needed.
• Keep department equipment in good condition and suggest process improvements.

Gemini is looking for a 3rd Shift Painter to join the team at our location in Cannon Falls, MN! This position is responsible for learning the finishing and painting process. Wage Range: $22.59 - $29.91 (Posted range inclusive of 3rd shift premium)

Location: Cannon Falls, MN

Type: Full Time, On-site

Schedule: 5/8 hour days; 11:00pm - 7:30am (Monday through Friday)

Overtime is scheduled as needed

A day in the life of a Painter at Gemini includes:

• This role will require learning and flexibility to support shipping activities as directed.
• Assembles letters or other products to be sprayed and paint supplies required for the order.
• Mixes appropriate quantity of paint for the order, insuring that the paint is properly mixed as indicated by local conditions and matching paint chips or samples if required.
• May mask parts as required prior to applying paint or texturing. Removes masking materials after completion of drying cycle.
• Sprays products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards.
• Mixes and sprays hardening agents on products as required on the order.
• Places painted parts in a drying area or oven.
• Returns painted parts to the next work station in the production process after determining that parts are adequately dried.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of paint products, and notifies the designated Supervisor of the need to reorder additional materials.
• Insures that all department equipment is maintained in an adequate manner.
• Maintains an awareness of the means by which process improvements can be achieved, and makes related recommendations to the department Supervisor.
• Completes records of department production including waste materials and units produced.
• Constantly works toward producing products that are acceptable by company standards of quality.
• Maintains the department in a neat and orderly manner at all times, cleaning air filters and exhaust system as required
