Job summary

Wastequip is seeking an Industrial Painter for the Eagleville, TN location. This full-time role involves painting machines and surfaces with protective finishes in a fast-paced production setting. Expect a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift and an hourly rate with shift differential.

Qualifications

• Experience using an Airless Paint Finishing System or similar.
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery and/or manufactured products.
• Experience using paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat or lacquer.
• Preferred experience in a fast paced production environment.
• Be able to work standing up for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from product.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested.
• Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
• Starts grinder and moves it over the surface of the workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, and excess weld material.

Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The ideal Candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective/decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.

2nd shift hours: 2:30PM- 11:00PM

Hourly Pay: $20.30 + $2 shift differential
