Job summary

Texas Collision Centers, Inc. is seeking an experienced painter to perform all refinish work on vehicles with emphasis on quality, timeliness, and safety.

You will plan the refinish steps, prepare surfaces, mix paints, and complete finish work while adhering to OEM standards and safety guidelines. The role requires strong refinish skills, ability to read manuals and repair orders, and proficiency with paint equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Plan refinish work according to specifications.
• Tape, sand, and prep as needed.
• Mix and match paint according to specifications.
• Sand, masking, unmasking, finish painting, seal and touch up; adjust equipment for spray patterns.
• Know OEM standards for top coat application, curing, and blending formulas.
• Identify and correct runs, streaks, blisters, overspray, and other defects.
• Thoroughly inspect vehicles to ensure all refinishing work is completed.
• Comply with safety standards and procedures.
• Perform related duties such as washing cars and cleaning the shop.

Job Summary:

Painter performs all refinish repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with a focus on quality, timeliness and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plans all refinish work needed according to specifications
• Tape, sand, and prep as needed
• Mixes and matches paint according to specifications
• Sanding, masking, unmasking, finish painting, seal and touch up. Must be familiar with paint equipment and must be able to adjust equipment to obtain the desired spray patterns
• Knowledge of OEM standards for application of top coat, curing and blending formulas
• Ability to identify and correct runs, streaks, blisters, overspray and any other defects
• Thoroughly inspect vehicles to ensure all necessary refinish work is complete
• Comply with all TCCs safety standards, guidelines and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc..

• I-CAR certified preferred
• Three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
