MAV PAINT CONTRACTORS INC in Town of Florida, NY is seeking a skilled residential/commercial painter to perform exterior and interior painting on homes and light commercial properties. You’ll join an energetic team that takes pride in quality workmanship and reliable service.

You’ll be responsible for surface prep, priming, paint application with brushes, rollers, and sprayers, and finishing touches. A positive attitude, good communication with clients, and a commitment to safety and timely

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential or commercial painting and/or remodeling/home repair
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment

Responsibilities

• Paint using a proper applicator (brush, roller, etc.) while utilizing proper painting techniques
• Interact professionally with customers, evaluating requests, pricing projects, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed
• Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary
• Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and drying properties
• Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks
• Inspect paint jobs for quality
• Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment
