Tiffin Aire is based at the Seneca County Airport. Tiffin Aire Inc. was founded in 1968 by Dwight and Jeanne Gnepper. It began with only three employees, two single-engine aircraft, two hangars, and an office. By 1996, Tiffin Aire offered aircraft charter, flight instruction and rental, aircraft sales, aircraft maintenance, parts and oil sales, and propeller/governor sales and service. De-ice boot sales/installation and the Tiffin Aire Tug were added to the company product line in later years. Tiffin Aire is now owned by Hartzell Propeller, LLC, out of Piqua, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

Performs maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, and testing activities on aircraft components and aviation products within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment. Independently executes routine repair tasks, troubleshoots moderately complex issues, and supports operational efficiency, quality compliance, and turnaround objectives. Ensures all work is completed in accordance with approved technical data, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

  1. Accurate and compliant repair and overhaul of aircraft components
  2. Timely completion of work orders supporting operational turnaround targets
  3. Proper inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of aviation products
  4. Accurate maintenance records and repair documentation
  5. Compliance with FAA regulations, repair station procedures, and quality standards
  6. Reduced rework and improved repair efficiency and workmanship quality
  7. Support of operational and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; aviation technical training preferred
  • 2–4 years of aviation maintenance, MRO, manufacturing, or technical repair experience
  • Solid knowledge of aircraft components, repair procedures, and technical documentation
  • Experience within FAA Part 145 or aviation maintenance environments preferred
  • Works under general supervision
