Job summary

Aviatron is hiring a Quality Control Specialist to assist the Chief Inspector in maintaining compliance with FAA/industry standards. You will support quality processes, review training, and track non-conformances and warranty trends to improve safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include audits, policy updates, and backup coverage for the Chief Inspector, with a focus on regulatory adherence and continuous improvement in a precision aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Any previous inspection or aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of 14 CFR 43, 65 and 145 requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support Quality system processes in compliance with FAA and customer requirements.
  • Perform Component Maintenance Manual revisions.
  • Document and track Non-Conformance reports (CARs).
  • Track warranty claims and report trends to Chief Inspector and Customer Service Manager.
  • Support in revising and maintaining the Training Program.
  • Monitor Calibrated Tooling and Shelf Life Program due dates.
  • Ensure policies and procedures comply with regulations and procedures.
  • Support Quality Department during product investigations and audits.
  • Contribute to SOPs and preventative maintenance program documentation.
  • Participate in CARs analytical review and risk reduction.
  • Serve as backup for the Chief Inspector.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector.

Aviatron, Inc. takes pride in its’ key role of providing leadership in the use of quality Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) & Designated Engineering Representative (DER) parts on Air Cycle Machines for the largest Regional Jet Operators in the world. And in using quality PMA parts for the Air Cycle Machine’s rotating group on the CRJ & Dash 8 aircraft, we have achieved significant cost savings for our customers in the process without sacrificing quality or reliability. Base salary range: $27.00 to 31.00 hourly starting wage, plus bonus potential, comprehensive health/dental/vision/Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and Vacation, sick days, flexible work.

Overview Of The Position

The Quality Control Specialist has the responsibility and authority to assist the Chief Inspector in maintaining compliance with Federal Regulations and Industry Standards as outlined by the Repair Station and Quality Manual, AS9110 Quality Management System, and the Repair Station Training Manual. Assist with the regular review processes of the Repair Station to continually improve safety, quality and training by identifying risks and aiding in the development and implementation of improved practices and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support Quality system processes in compliance with FAA and Customer requirements
  • Perform Component Maintenance Manual Revisions.
  • Document and track Non-Conformance reports (CAR'S).
  • Track Warranty Claims, and report trends to both the Chief Inspector and Customer Service Manager.
  • Support in revising and maintaining company's Training Program.
  • Support monitoring the Calibrated Tooling and Shelf Life Program item due dates.
  • Assist in ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with regulations, procedures, and
  • Support Quality Department during product investigations and audits.
  • Contribute to the development and review of SOPs, Shop Equipment Preventative Maintenance Program, and other Quality related documents.
  • Participate in CAR'S analytical review process and contribute to reducing workplace and component risks.
  • Serve as backup for the Chief Inspector (Excluding RTS) in his or her absence.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Inspector.
Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
