Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking skilled painters to perform surface preparation and painting across walls, ceilings, floors and mechanical components. The role includes finishing work, color matching, and maintaining wall coverings and finishes in a health care environment.

Responsibilities include using standard painter tools, inspecting work, maintaining product inventory, and collaborating with design or diagnostic teams to ensure durable, quality finishes.

Qualifications

• 4 years journeyman level experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to prep, finish and maintain painted surfaces to spec.
• Familiarity with color matching and protective coatings.

• Surface prep and painting of walls, ceilings, floors and mechanical components.
• Install and maintain finishes; tape, mud, wallboard, wall coverings.
• Operate painter tools and use a variety of materials (wood, metal, plastics).
• Maintain inventory of painting products and assist in design/diagnostics.

Overview

Description: Adept at most levels of wall finishes and paint coatings.

Responsibilities

• Painter tasks include, but are not limited to: surface preparation and painting of walls, ceilings, floors, and mechanical system components; installation and maintenance of finishes; color matching/mixing; tape, mud, finish wallboard; wall covering and cove base; drywall demolition as needed.
• Demonstrate use of basic painter tools and operate a variety of materials (wallboard, wood, metal, plastics).
• Maintain proper inventory of products used within the Painting Discipline; make recommendations during design or diagnostics.
• Perform rated wall inspection and maintenance as required.

Qualifications

• 4 years Journeyman level in a similar environment.
