Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety procedures, and written instructions.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting to remove rust, paint, scale, and debris from metal surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces using sanders, scrapers, wire brushes, steel wool, and other tools.
• Apply industrial coatings including paint, varnish, enamel, stain, and lacquer.
• Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation before painting.
• Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all PPE requirements. Progress from full-time blasting duties into painting responsibilities as training is completed.
• Support quality standards and production goals within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift regularly
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment
• Comfortable wearing a full-body blast suit with supplied air
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
