Job description

UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for a Painter. The full salary range for the Painter is $39.08 - $43.98 per hour. Salary offers are based on considerations such as education, licensure, certifications, experience, and organizational needs.

The Painter performs journey-level work related to preparing and painting walls, ceilings, floors, woodwork, stucco, and masonry for interior and exterior surfaces of Auxiliary Facilities buildings. Responsibilities include installing, finishing, patching, and repairing drywall and stucco walls, applying paints, stains, and other finishes with rollers, brushes, and sprayers. The role involves lead abatement on various surfaces, following all safety procedures, preparing areas for painting, mixing and applying paints, and maintaining accurate documentation of work performed.

The Painter reviews blueprints, drawings, and specifications for new construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with building codes. The position requires responding to emergency situations to address safety concerns and performing job duties in accordance with university safety guidelines. Effective communication and a positive attitude are essential when interacting with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.
