Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum of three years experience working in a production facility painting manufactured or fabricated parts.
2. General paint prepping knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Job Description:

1. Operates systems for the removal of finishes, paint, and corrosion.
2. Does preparation work for rework, application of finishes, and/or the next production operation.
3. Assists production/assembly workers by performing various functions as needed to support manufacturing efforts.
4. Applies various primers/topcoats to completed assemblies in accordance with BP/specifications.
5. Maintains accurate log of chemical usage to track VOC's.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
7. Ability to wear a respirator.

Desired Skills:

1. Experience using HVLP paint equipment.
2. Experience in painting to military specifications.
3. Experience applying RAM or LO coatings to military specifications.
4. Experience working in one of the following: automotive/manufacturing/aerospace paint environment performing paint prep related activities such as sanding, masking, cleaning and degreasing parts.
5. Experience in production paint environment where employees have gained general paint and production knowledge.
6. Experience reading and interpreting written specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
7. Experienced using paint related hand tools and/or specialty equipment.
8. Ability to operate various types of material moving equipment.
9. Ability to surface prep and mask small sub-assemblies and large assemblies.
10. Detail-oriented; accuracy of work is essential.

Work Schedule Information:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Work Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
