Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Painter to inspect units and apply paint per blueprints and work orders. You will verify paint codes, lay out coatings, and select gravity-fed or pressure-pot systems as required.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and proper PPE on a production floor where exposure to fumes and vibration is possible. Training is provided even if experience is not required.

Position Description:

Inspect unit for any prep flaws. Following blueprints and work orders, verifies paint codes and layout. Tacks off and paints using correct paint system, either gravity fed or pressure pot as required.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:

Experience and education are a plus; however, it's not required. Wabash provides training for all painter positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands:

As a Painter, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Painters must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Painters also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
