Job Description

Paint Finishing Technician

Qualified candidates will have experience in all aspects of production painting in an industrial environment, including but not limited to:

• Safety, including knowledge and practice of OSHA and EPA regulations
• Spraying a variety of different paints including oil based enamels, epoxies, urethanes, water borne enamels, etc.
• Troubleshooting and repair of substandard finishes
• Touching up damaged paint
• Repairing damaged paint
  
  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The overall appearance of equipment prior to shipping with an emphasis on making sure all chips, scratches, runs or sags are repaired.
• Assisting with parts cleaning and deburring- paint prep
• Monitoring pressure pot paint levels
• Maintaining paint usage records
• Maintaining paint booth maintenance and filter change records
• Maintaining a neat, orderly, and clean work area
• Filling in for painters when needed
• Good organizational abilities
• A good work ethic
• Willing to take responsibility for paint quality on finished products
• Good attendance
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel or squat for extended periods
• Ability to work overtime
• Following all safety regulations
• Any other task as directed by the supervisor or leadman
  
  

This is a permanent first shift position. You will be required to pass a spray test. You will be required to pass a drug test. You must be physically capable of wearing a respirator for extended periods. You will be required to pass a respirator fit test.
