Description

French Ellison Truck Center is seeking a talented individual to join our Body Shop team as a Painter. The Painter is responsible for preparing and applying paint to vehicles as well as providing cosmetic repairs. Qualities for success include an eye for detail, great teamwork, and knowledge of painting large vehicles, specifically diesel trucks. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team within a growing and successful dealer group!

Primary Duties:

• Mix paint and match paint to color specifications
• Mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination
• Use painting equipment such as sprayers
• Perform quality checks on paint jobs for runs or sags

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Technical degree in Auto Body/Collision Repair preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in the heavy-duty truck collision industry
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
• Experience using industrial painting equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, and lift/move up to 75 lbs regularly
• Ability to use ladders over 12 feet and scaffolding
• Willingness to work in a dealership environment, including 8-12 hour days with exposure to weather elements
