Job summary

Jered LLC, a PAR Systems company, is expanding its coatings team. We seek skilled painters to prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and finish metal and composite parts used in naval and maritime systems. Your precision supports Navy and global maritime equipment performance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of painting experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and US Person status. Apprenticeship and MIL-SPEC experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and complete finishing work on metal and composite structures.
  • Follow drawings, work instructions, and coating specifications to ensure quality and safety.
  • Maintain qualifications across multiple painting processes and operate painting equipment.

Job description

We are expanding our Coatings Team and looking for skilled professionals who bring precision, pride, and attention to detail to their craft.

In this role, you will use painting and coating techniques, including airless and conventional spray, HVLP, brushing, rolling, and specialty finishes, to prepare and coat mission‑critical components to required standards. Whether mixing coatings to specification, preparing surfaces, or applying durable finishes, your craftsmanship directly supports the performance and longevity of systems used by the U.S. Navy and global maritime partners. At Jered, your work does more than apply paint—it helps protect equipment that makes a global impact.

Success Criteria

As a Painter, you will spend most of your time preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and completing finishing work on metal and composite structures. The most successful team members bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a safety‑first mindset.

You will work in a high‑output manufacturing environment where precision, teamwork, and adaptability are essential. Challenges may include maintaining qualifications across multiple painting processes, operating and troubleshooting painting equipment, and following drawings, work instructions, and coating specifications. Success means consistently delivering quality finishes while meeting safety, production, and quality expectations.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of related painting experience
  • US Person
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in painting, coatings, or a related specialty
  • Experience using plural‑component pumps and conventional pressure pots
  • Previous experience with MIL‑SPEC painting or coating requirements
