Job summary

Western Trailers is seeking a paint technician to apply primers, pre-finish coats, paint, and finishing coats to custom semi-trailers according to job specifications. Responsibilities include surface preparation, precise measurement with viscosity and thickness gauges, and operating HVLP and electrostatic spray equipment.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a team or independently, and read and speak English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/ or GED equivalency.
• Experience in automotive/industrial painting techniques.
• Must have basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a team or independently.
• Be able to stand on feet for most of the day.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Previous experience will be helpful.
• Must be fit tested for personal ventilation hood/suit.

Physical Demands:

Continually required lifting up to 10 lbs. Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and crawling. Exposure to paint and solvent fumes, dust, paint over-spray, noise, grinding, heat, and cold.
