The role emphasizes attention to detail, the ability to perform surface preparation, Bondo application, and caulking, with cross-training in grinding and powder coating to support production needs. PPE provided and safety is priority.

Qualifications

• Professional paint experience preferred; strong attention to detail and quality workmanship required.
• Experience with two-part epoxies, Bondo, and surface prep preferred.
• Willing to cross-train in multiple finishing functions.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare precast concrete pedestals through grinding, filling, sanding, and surface correction.
• Apply Bondo to large surfaces to seal pores and ensure smooth finishes.
• Perform detailed sanding and finishing to meet quality standards.
• Apply coatings, including two-part epoxies, as required.
• Caulking applications per painter standards.
• Cross-train in grinding and powder coating as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete paperwork at task completion.
• Participate in safety training and use PPE provided.
• Assist other departments as needed.
