The Paint Technician role focuses on prep, tinting, sprayer work, and adherence to procedures to ensure durable finishes for our customers' vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Two years automotive experience.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate an automobile.

Responsibilities

  • Assess damaged areas and prepare them for painting, removing rust and grease, masking non-painted parts.
  • Prepare color tint to match or blend paint color.
  • Paint vehicles with a sprayer or brush, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Adhere to factory and dealership procedures when performing warranty work.
  • Operate all Collision Center equipment safely per AutoNation safety standards.
  • Inspect craftsmanship quality, noting runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
  • Mix all paint and chemicals per manufacturer directions.
  • Follow federal/state/local regulations affecting Collision Center operations.
  • Gain product knowledge to provide high-quality repairs.
