Job summary

Brown & Root is seeking a skilled painter/finisher to apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes on walls, ceilings, and various surfaces. The role involves surface preparation, color matching, and ensuring quality finishes while following safety rules.

The position requires knowledge of different materials and paint types, as well as the ability to work with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to judge colors.
• Knowledge of application techniques and safe use of paints, solvents and adhesives.
• Physically able to work long periods with arms overhead.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, varnish, and finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning dirt, oil and grease, removing old paint and wall coverings, and filling cracks and holes.
• Identify materials used to make the paint and the types of paint required for different materials (plaster, wood, brick, metal).
• Mix paints to match colors and maintain color consistency.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
