Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking a Paint Technician to support painting, finishing, and maintenance of interior and exterior truck structures. Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, you will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paints, and ensure quality through final touch-ups on large vocational vehicles.

The role requires 1-2 years of painting experience and familiarity with spray equipment and sanding. Prior decal/wrap and bed liner applications are considered a plus, and you will operate the

• 1-2 years of painting experience.
• Experience with pot gun spray equipment and light sanding on large equipment or vocational vehicles preferred.
• Bed liner application experience preferred.
• Decal/wrap application experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sand and scrape surfaces of truck equipment.
• Prepare truck bodies prior to paint application.
• Mix paint for painting as needed.
• Apply topcoat and undercoat as needed.
• Clean spray guns, paint booth and work area.
• Perform final touch-ups for quality assurance.

How You Will Make an Impact

A Paint Technician at Reading Truck will work under the direction of the Shop Foreman to perform work in painting, finishing, and maintaining interior and exterior structures of specialty truck equipment.

The Nuts and Bolts

• Sanding manufactured product
• Scraping surfaces of truck equipment
• Preparing truck bodies prior to paint application
• Mixing paint for painting as needed
• Applying topcoat paint application and undercoat as needed
• Cleaning spray guns, paint booth and work area
• Final touch-ups for quality assurance controls
• Other duties as assigned

Required Credentials

• 1-2 years of painting experience
• Prior experience with pot gun spray equipment and light sanding on large equipment or vocational vehicles preferred
• Bed liner application experience preferred
• Decal/wrap application experience preferred
