Job summary

PPG is hiring a Production Operator for the Little Rock Plant in Alexander, AR. The 1st shift runs from 4:00 am to 2:30 pm. Pay starts at $22.69 per hour. The operator will prepare and mix paint formulations, operate mixing equipment, ensure accurate measurements, and maintain a clean, safe work environment to meet color, viscosity and performance specs.

The role emphasizes following recipes, recording batch data, and adhering to quality control procedures in a hands-on production setting.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret paint formulation specifications and production orders.
• Measure and weigh raw materials accurately according to established recipes.
• Operate mixing equipment, including mixers, mills and pumps, to produce paint batches.
• Document all batch production processes and quality control results accurately.
• Physical requirements: stand for long periods, navigate stairs, bend, reach.
