Job summary

PPG is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Operator at the Little Rock Plant in Alexander, AR. Starting pay is $20.62 per hour. Shift: 1st shift, 5am to 1:30pm. You will operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks to move and store products, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include pre-op forklift checks, loading/unloading materials, and ensuring safety compliance. A high school diploma is preferred; forklift certification or willingness to obtain it is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report maintenance issues.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves using forklifts and reach trucks.
• Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
• Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
