Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in paint process engineering or paint manufacturing operations.
• Experience with powder coating systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of paint process equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational readiness and performance of paint process equipment
• Develop and execute engineering trials to validate coating materials and manufacturing processes
• Establish and standardize paint process parameters to improve quality and efficiency
• Evaluate paint system performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, purchasing, and materials teams to support manufacturing goals
• Research and implement automation and process improvement initiatives
• Monitor quality control systems and coating performance standards
• Support paint validation, durability testing, and process development activities
• Manage paint process documentation and document control procedures
• Assist with capital equipment planning and process-related improvement projects

RL Enterprise Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a leading global manufacturer to identify a Paint Process Specialist for a state-of-the-art appliance manufacturing facility in Newberry, South Carolina.

This position will support the launch and ongoing operation of a new production line focused on consumer appliance products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with powder coating systems and paint process engineering in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Paint Process Specialist will be responsible for maintaining paint system performance, improving manufacturing efficiency, standardizing paint processes, and ensuring high-quality coating results throughout production. This role will work closely with production, maintenance, materials, and engineering teams to optimize paint operations and support new product introductions.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience with powder coating systems in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of paint process equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience with process optimization, quality improvement, and manufacturing support

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• Experience with pretreatment, electrocoat (E-coat), paint sealer, and topcoat processes
• Experience within appliance, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of automation systems and manufacturing process controls
