Job summary

HTI – Human Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Paint Process Technician for our automotive manufacturing client in Anderson, SC. You will work on paint processes, robots, booths, and water treatment systems to ensure quality, efficiency, and uptime on the 2nd shift.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, process optimization, and rapid problem-solving in a high-performance production environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in painted parts production or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
• Experience with robotics and paint application systems preferred.
• Structured problem-solving methods (POMS/A3 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain paint processes including robots, booths, and water treatment systems.
• Analyze process deviations and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance and OEE.
• Start up, operate, and shut down paint lines safely according to production schedules.
• Perform basic maintenance (Level 1) on paint equipment and robotics.
• Troubleshoot paint defects and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and paint application requirements.
• Optimize paint consumption including primers, basecoat, clear coat, and solvents.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety (HSE/LOTO standards) and operational discipline.
