Responsibilities
- Specify, design, implement, and track the improvement of robot path programming and optimization of manipulator, applicator, and fluid delivery process.
- Ensure paint process setup instructions are current and correct.
- Coordinate trial runs and quality improvement for the paint process.
- Coordinate work with Maintenance and Production.
- Implement cost‑reduction improvements for new and existing equipment/processes.
- Provide technical support to all Production and Engineering operations for improvement programs.
- Maintain working knowledge of paint department processes and principles, including latest technologies.
- Maintain general knowledge of production control/scheduling systems.
- Read blueprints and apply statistical analysis.
- Understand ISO14001 and TS16949 requirements.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and basic PLC programming knowledge.
- Have strong knowledge of paint application processes.
- Have basic knowledge of machining/tooling, electrical schematics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Language skills: read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rates, ratios, percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer skills: competent with a personal computer; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e‑mail) and familiar with database‑related software.
Experience
At least two years of related experience in a paint shop and production floor environment.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Studio5000, and paint shop pre‑treatment processes.
Experience with FanucP‑250 and Modicon PLC is a plus.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field preferred.

Working Conditions
Work within a plant‑factory environment with exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat.
Adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
