Job summary

A leading fabrication company in Sturgeon Bay is looking for a dependable Paint Prepper to join their 1st shift team. Responsibilities include preparing steel parts for painting, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and maintaining a clean workspace. Ideal candidates are flexible, able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and have a strong work ethic. The company offers a range of employee benefits including health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Tagging parts with location and painting instructions.
• Brush painting smaller parts and areas needing touch up.
• Sanding parts pre and post industrial painting.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation to move parts.
• General cleanup duties.
• General shop clean-up and maintenance.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description

ExacTech is excited to be adding a Paint Prepper to our 1st shift team. As a Paint Prepper, you will prepare items for paint such as steel beams and other various steel parts related to large custom engineered lifting machines used in marine and industrial applications and shipped worldwide.

1st Shift: Monday–Thursday 5:45 AM–3:15 PM; Friday 6:45 AM–10:45 AM (½ day Fridays)

Job Responsibilities

• Tagging parts with location and painting instructions
• Brush painting smaller parts and areas that need touch up
• Sanding parts before and after industrial painting
• Forklift operation to move parts around the shop
• Overhead crane operation for our larger parts
• General clean up
• All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned
