Job summary

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing, Co. in Webb City, MO is seeking a Paint Prep Cleaner for 2nd shift. The role focuses on cleaning and preparing parts for paint and powder coating on the line. The position runs on 2nd shift, 3:30 p.m.

to midnight, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and preferably two years of manufacturing experience. Crane and forklift experience are bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts for painting, including plugging and masking.
• Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
• Operate overhead crane to move parts to wash area.
• Remove slag from workpieces before painting.
• Possibly operate forklift or receive training to do so safely.
• Identify, store, stack, organize and stage product.
• Sweep, clean, remove trash and scrap.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Read, write, and perform basic math.

Salary Range: $18.75 To $20.85 Hourly

Summary/Objective
The Paint Prep Cleaner position is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for paint / powder coating process on the paint line.

Essential Functions

• Cleaning and preparing parts for painting including plugging and masking parts to be painted.
• Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
• Use overhead crane to move parts to wash area.
• Remove slag from workpieces in raw stock stage before painting.
• Forklift operation or willing and able to be trained to safely operate a forklift
• Must identify, store, stack, organize and stage product.
• Sweeping, cleaning, removal of trash, and scrap.
• Preventative maintenance as required.
• Reading, writing and basic mathematics.
• Safety conscious.

• Teamwork orientation.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Two (2) years of manufacturing experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
