Job summary

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co in Webb City, MO is seeking a Paint Prep Cleaner for the 2nd shift. You will clean and prepare parts for the paint line, operate an overhead crane, and assist in masking and prep prior to coating.

Standard hours are 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with potential overtime. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, life & disability insurance, 401k matching, and an Employee Referral Program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of manufacturing experience (preferred).
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts for painting, including masking and plugging.
• Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
• Use overhead crane to move parts to wash area.
• Remove slag from workpieces prior to painting.
• Identify, store, and stage product for the line.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety procedures.
• Read, write, and perform basic math for job needs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth paint prep.

Paint Prep Cleaner 2nd Shift

Salary Range: $18.75 To $20.85 Hourly

Summary/Objective
The Paint Prep Cleaner position is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for paint / powder coating process on the paint line.

Essential Functions

• Cleaning and preparing parts for painting including plugging and masking parts to be painted.
• Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
• Use overhead crane to move parts to wash area.
• Remove slag from workpieces in raw stock stage before painting.
• Forklift operation or willing and able to be trained to safely operate a forklift
• Must identify, store, stack, organize and stage product.
• Sweeping, cleaning, removal of trash, and scrap.
• Preventative maintenance as required.
• Reading, writing and basic mathematics.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift- 3:30 p.m. to midnight., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
