Job summary

Behr Paint Company is seeking an on-site Tint Operator who ensures accurate color matching and efficient workflows from tinting to shipment. You will operate tint machines, log workloads, and follow precise formulas to meet customer color specifications.

The role requires color vision, excellent attendance, and a strong commitment to safety. You will handle heavy cans, work on your feet, and may advance into supervisory tracks as you grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to see color and notice minor color differences.
• Excellent attendance required; tinting is essential to our operation.
• Commitment to safety and wearing safety glasses during tinting.
• You will be on your feet for the shift and may lift up to 75 pounds.
• Many managers started in operator roles and may grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tint machine and log in to review workload.
• Use pallet jack to pull paint bases from the warehouse.
• Follow computer formulas to tint colors to exact specifications.
• Verify color matches and palletize finished products.
• Print BOL, wrap pallets, and transport to shipment location.

Job description

To thrive as a Tinter, you must be able to see color andhave the ability toread and follow work orders. You will be successful in this role if you are self-motivated, like repetitivefast pacedtasks while having the ability tomaintainquality.

Your shift will start by ensuring your tint machine is ready for use, logging in to see the assigned workload, andutilizingan electric pallet jack to pull paint bases from the warehouse.Then you will use the computer to carefully follow formulas to fulfill assigned orders to ensure our customers get the exact color they selected for their project. After tinting, verify the colors match, put the product back on the pallet, finish the paperwork (print out BOL) and wrap the pallets. Lastly, you will take it to the designated location where it is prepared for shipment to our customer.

• Physical ability. You will be on your feet for the entire shift.You’llbe lifting individual paint cans or sometimes full cases of 4 cans, which can weigh up to75pounds. This will happen several times a day.
• A high school diploma orGEDisrequired.
