Behr Paint Company is seeking a Make & Ship Operator to coordinate the transfer of finished goods from manufacturing to distribution, safely operating forklifts and reach trucks as needed. You will process pallets, use a scan gun, and generate Bills of Lading while supporting Receiving as required.
Candidates should have a high school education, basic computer skills, and a willingness to obtain forklift certification. Evening shifts include overtime opportunities and a strong safety culture.
To thrive as a Make & Ship Operator, you will coordinate and transfer finished goods from manufacturing to distribution. You must be able to safelyoperatea forklift and or reach truck to move and store materials. Every day you will receive pallets from the filling department and transfer the finished goods to either the distribution warehouse or stage for an outgoing truck.
You will start off by performing the safety checklist for your power industrial vehicles (PIV). Throughout your shift, you will use a scan gun to direct and coordinate moving finished goods from the filling department to the truck or staging areas. Basic computer skills arerequiredas you will be creating the Bill of Lading (BOL). Based on production needs, you may be asked to help in the Receiving Department.All team members are expected to help keep their workstations safe and clean at all times, which includes the staging and dock area.
Required Skills:
A completed High school education isrequired.
Whilepreviousforklift experience is preferred, we welcome candidates without prior experience who are willing and able to complete training and obtain forklift certification.
You’reconfidentnavigating basic computer systems, and if you have worked with SAP before,that’sa definite plus.

Responsibilities involve lifting individual paint cans or, at times, full casescontainingfour cans, which can weigh up to 75lbs, several times throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Here is What We Offer You:
Make & Ship Operator starts at $19.50/hr. Team members will receive a $0.50/hrincrease at 6 months of employment and another $0.50/hrincrease at one year of employment.
Any shift that startsfrom12 PM or later (off-shifts) also receives a $3/hrshift differential.
Quarterly and holiday bonuses are available.
Accrue 15 paid days of vacation time off the first year plus 5 days of sick time off.
