Job description

Main Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:

1. Perform mechanical and electrical failure diagnosis and repairs on advanced industrial equipment.
2. Work with equipment types including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, robotic (Fanuc, ABB), variable frequency and DC drives, programmable logic controllers (Siemens, Allen Bradley), and computer-controlled systems.
3. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment readiness at all times.
4. Communicate effectively with co-workers and management, passing critical information for production readiness.
5. Respond promptly to trouble calls to minimize downtime.
6. Identify root causes of failures to prevent recurrence.
7. Continuously seek and implement improvements to equipment reliability.
8. Perform robotic electrical troubleshooting.
9. Troubleshoot electrical and automation systems.
10. Welding and mechanical skills are a plus.
11. Work effectively in a team environment.

Education and Experience Required:

1. Knowledge of industrial building maintenance methods and principles.
2. Understanding of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work principles.
3. Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.
4. Experience with locksmithing and building security systems.
5. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
7. Experience in working with and supervising contractors.
