Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring for a paint line technician in Gaffney, SC. The role focuses on operating and maintaining paint lines, ensuring first-pass quality, and minimizing waste while meeting safety standards.

The position offers full-time hours, benefits from day one, and weekly pay. Expect to work 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm, with on-demand pay options and a supportive 5S environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of paint line/equipment experience.
• LOTO Authorized Training is required.
• Ability to perform duties of all positions in the paint area.
• Good knowledge of paint equipment / processes.
• Good knowledge of hand tools and hands-on maintenance.
• Strong human relations and ability to work closely with others.
• Knowledge of parts and rebuild procedures on paint equipment.
• Able to perform in non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots equipment and optimizes paint spray patterns and equipment efficiency.
• Submits good quality first piece start-ups and improves paint process stability.
• Cycles and starts up equipment to minimize material loss and maximize part quality.
• Keeps operators and equipment performing with minimal rejects.
• Performs setup of secondary equipment and maintains equipment locations and cleanliness.
• Identifies paint problems and corrects quickly; follows up maintenance needs.
• Maintains safety and reports hazards immediately; prioritizes safety for all.
