Sargent Metal in Anderson, SC is hiring a Paint Line Technician to prepare, hang, and inspect metal parts for painting on a fast-paced line. This role requires strong attention to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Work Schedule: 2nd shift—Mon-Thu 4:30pm-3am with a $1.50 shift premium per hour. You will pack finished parts and help maintain a clean, safe production area. Candidates should be able to stand 10-12 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and collaborate across departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.
• Ability to work independently, as a team member, and in a floating/utility capacity as needed.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Stand for 10-12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for painting, including masking, cleaning, and inspection prior to processing.
• Hang metal parts on a continuously moving paint line.
• Monitor parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Remove painted parts from the line when complete.
• Package finished parts accurately and safely for shipment.
• Maintain productivity to keep pace with line speed and production goals.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow, quality issues, or equipment concerns.
• Safely operate basic hand tools and equipment as instructed.
• Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and production requirements.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Support housekeeping efforts to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Promote teamwork and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.
