Job summary

Vorteq Coil Finishers, LLC is seeking candidates to work on our Coil Coating line. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and have reliable transportation. Responsibilities include material preparation, production changeovers, material stitching, defect inspection, and safe warehouse practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write.
• Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements.
• Comfort with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials for production and verify customer order requirements for material and production schedule.
• Work with the team to complete production set ups for efficient changeovers.
• Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
• Visually inspect coils for defects (marks, dents, scratches).
• Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, wrap); forklift assistance may be required.
• Ensure materials are safely stacked and transported within the warehouse; comply with safety rules.

Overview

Schedule

Monday - Friday 2:00 pm- 10:00 pm

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders safely.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Prepare raw materials for production runs, verify customer order requirements to material and production schedule
• Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job
• Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
• Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)
• Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • This may include driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driver
• Ensure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in warehouse
• Keep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of waste timely in proper receptacles
• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and writing
• Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements
• Comfort level with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry and/or data lookup
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
• Must have a VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation
