Job summary

Vorteq Coil Finishers in the United States is seeking reliable candidates to join our Coil Coating line on 2nd and 3rd shift. This full-time role offers premium rates on Saturdays and Sundays and a shift differential where applicable.

You will prepare raw materials, assist with production set ups, inspect coils for defects, and package finished products while maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and writing.
• Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements.
• Comfort with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials for production runs and verify order requirements.
• Work as a team to complete production set ups and efficient changeovers.
• Connect raw material (metal) through stitching processes.
• Visually inspect coils for defects (marks, dents, scratches).
• Package coils per customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap).
• Assist forklift operations or drivers as needed.
• Ensure materials are safely stacked and transported.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and dispose of waste properly.
• Follow warehouse safety rules and guidelines.

Vorteq Coil Finishers is looking for quality candidates to work on our Coil Coating line on 2nd & 3rd shift. VORTEQ is a 24/7 Operation.Premium rate for Saturdays and Sundays. Shift differential when applicable.

Overview

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw materials for production runs, verify customer order requirements to material and production schedule
• Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job
• Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
• Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)
• Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • This may include driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driver
• Ensure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in warehouse
• Keep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of waste timely in proper receptacles
• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials
