Job summary

OmniMax, located in Lancaster, PA, is seeking a Paint Line Operator - B to join our 3rd shift, 12-hour onsite production team. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, forklift and measurement tool proficiency, strong math and computer skills, and meticulous attention to detail for maintaining quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires operating line equipment, handling coils, and maintaining clean, compliant work areas while following schedules and supervisor

Qualifications

• Over 2 years of related work experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to use measuring instruments (micrometer and calipers).
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Ability to work with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
• Ability to use micrometer and calipers.
• Solid computer skills (email, Excel, Oracle).
• Detail-oriented; able to plan, execute and detect faulty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Check metal gauge and roll diameters using micrometer and calipers; monitor line via computer-controlled equipment.
• Operate forklift to move coils to/from designated storage/production areas.
• Handle chemicals used in cleaners, conversion and coater sections, quality lab, and line maintenance.
• Follow production and maintenance schedules and directions from the paint line supervisor.
• Follow policies to ensure product quality, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safe, orderly, and neat work/storage areas.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain records neatly and accurately per company and governmental requirements.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Using measuring tools (micrometer and calipers) to check metal gage and roll diameters. Using computer-controlled equipment to monitor / operate line.
• Using powered industrial forklift to pick-up, tilt, stack and / or transport coils to and from designated storage/ production area.
• Working with various hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals used in the cleaner, conversion and coater sections, quality lab, coater clean up and line maintenance.
• Using powered industrial forklift to pick up, tilt, stack and/or transport coils to and from designated storage/production area.
• Working from production and maintenance schedules as well as direction from paint line supervisor.
• Following established policies and practices and procedures to ensure product quality, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintaining working and storage area in a safe, orderly, and neat condition.
• Performing minor maintenance on equipment and cleaning it when necessary.
• Maintaining all records in a neat and accurate manner per company and governmental requirements.
• Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership.
