Gibraltar in Lancaster, PA is hiring a Paint Line Operator B for the 3rd shift on-site. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience, forklift and measuring tool proficiency, strong math, and excellent attention to detail to maintain product quality and a safe work environment.

You will operate line equipment, use micrometers/calipers to measure components, and follow production schedules while keeping a neat, compliant workspace. Full-time benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Over 2 years of related work experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to use measuring instruments (micrometers and calipers).
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Ability to work with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
• Solid computer skills (email, Excel, Oracle).
• Detail-oriented; able to make decisions, plan, and detect faulty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Check metal gage and roll diameters using micrometers and calipers; monitor line with computer-controlled equipment.
• Operate forklift to move coils to/from storage/production areas.
• Handle chemicals as part of cleaner, coating, and line maintenance processes.
• Follow production and maintenance schedules and directions from paint line supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; keep records per company and regulatory requirements.

• Detail-Oriented nature- Must be able to make decisions, plan, perform and detect faulty equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Using measuring tools (micrometer and calipers) to check metal gage and roll diameters. Using computer-controlled equipment to monitor / operate line.
• Using powered industrial forklift to pick-up, tilt, stack and / or transport coils to and from designated storage/ production area.
• Working with various hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals used in the cleaner, conversion and coater sections, quality lab, coater clean up and line maintenance.
• Using powered industrial forklift to pick up, tilt, stack and/or transport coils to and from designated storage/production area.
• Working from production and maintenance schedules as well as direction from paint line supervisor.
• Following established policies and practices and procedures to ensure product quality, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintaining working and storage area in a safe, orderly, and neat condition.
• Performing minor maintenance on equipment and cleaning it when necessary.Maintaining all records in a neat and accurate manner per company and governmental requirements.
• Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership.
